Western Grater was contracted by Farmer Construction to install 324mm diameter caissons complete with inner high capacity tensile anchors through the site overburden and bonded into the hard bedrock approximately 17m below existing ground surface. Maximum Pile capacity was specified 3750kN. All works were indoors and completed within a limited access site condition for structural upgrades. A company-owner custom pneumatic spider crane was utilized in combination with a Klemm KR702 Hydraulic Casing drill to drill and install the anchors and caissons all within the existing structure.
